An announcement regarding the remastered edition of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit could be just around the corner, as EA today updated their website with an official countdown page that concludes on Monday (October 5). On the top of the countdown page, there’ve been a number of social media posts from Need For Speed, referencing Big Joe’s Pizzeria and 510.
Big Joe has to be messing with me. Not sure how he found out. So much effort just to tease me, and I only wanted some pizza. pic.twitter.com/DW2lLYIAUE

Plus, there’s a quote on the countdown page, likely from the upcoming game, which reads: “5:10. How did he go so fast? Five ten. ‘Call Big Joe’s Pizzeria on 0800-510-510-510.’ There’s got to be a way to fix this”. This could all be hinting toward the remaster of Hot Pursuit in some way, or an entirely new project in the storied racing franchise. Criterion Games are also back on the scene and are working on a next-gen title for Need For Speed, so who knows.
They're really onto me. How much time did it take them to get chased by 10 cops on Heat 5? This has to be on purpose. pic.twitter.com/3SmctKgr85

In other EA-related news, Microsoft confirmed last week that EA Play will soon be coming to the Ultimate edition of Xbox Game Pass. Starting on November 10, the subscription service will be included with the current lineup of games and services for no additional cost. A release date for PC has not been to be confirmed yet, though it is likely to be announced soon. Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said that in a bid to “provide even more value”, they’d be “teaming up with Electronic Arts to provide Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC members with an EA Play membership at no additional cost starting this holiday.”
There are more than 100 games available right now to play in the Xbox Game Pass library. EA Play coming to Xbox Game Pass will allow Ultimate and PC players to play over 60 EA console and PC titles, including Titanfall 2, FIFA 20, and Need For Speed Heat, and drop into franchises such as Battlefield, Mass Effect, Skate, and The Sims.
