Spider-Man 2: The Shadow Spider and Moon Suits Revealed

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to launch later this month, and fans are gearing up to snag their copy of the web-swinging sequel. With a new story, expanded city, trophies galore, and the arrival of Venom – this is one triple-A title Marvel fans will not want to miss.

Players will also be excited to discover and kit out their heroes with every new Spidey suit the sequel offers – including the Moon and Shadow Spider outfits, which have emerged online in new pictures.

Shared by Reddit user Jax2856, Peter Parker appears in the Moon suit, while Miles Morales is web-swinging in style in the stylish Shadow-Spider attire. The costumes will be available with the deluxe edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

The Moon Suit, as it turns out, has quite some history behind it. Those clued up on the Infinity War comic may remember a particular, short-lived moment in which the heroes merged together – quite similarly to how G’iah (Emilia Clarke) attained her powers from multiple MCU characters in the Secret Invasion finale

In the comic, Spider-Man and Moon Knight unified to create what we see in the first of the two pictures above. The second suit was inspired by the Champions Comics in 2018. In this story, Miles from an alternate universe becomes a Medieval rogue known as Shadow-Spider (H/T ScreenRant for the suit knowledge).

“They look really cool! Man 15 days feel like an eternity… can’t wait to get my hands on this game lmao,” the top comment beneath the post reads, while another added: “I saw this suit on a Funko pop once, and absolutely adored the design. I’m so glad it got in.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is scheduled to launch on the PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023. Developed by Insomniac Games, the sequel will be published by Sony.

In other Marvel news, a Loki producer discussed ideas to bring Thor into the Disney+ series.
