Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom: How to Get The Master Sword

There are a myriad of weapons to collect in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, amongst which the Master Sword proves to be on top. What makes this Sword so unique is its unbreakable durability with a massive amount of damage-dealing effect. Moreover, when the Sword is combined with the Hylian Shield, players become nearly unstoppable during battles against the menacing enemies that one encounters during the journey.

However, with almost no clues, finding the Master Sword in the game becomes a challenging task for players. With that in mind, we have made a handy guide on what players exactly need to do to acquire this particular (and iconic) weapon.

How To Get The Master Sword in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

Unlike most of the weapons and armor in Tears of The Kingdom, the Master Sword is not locked behind any chest but stuck on the head of a flying Light Dragon that roams in the skies over the Hyrule region. In order to get this iconic weapon in your hand, you first need to figure out how you can reach the top of the flying Dragon.

Since the Dragon usually flies around the Hyrule skies, locating it would be a manageable activity. But in case you are not able to find him, the best thing to do here is to trigger a specific quest named “Recovering the Hero’s Sword,” which, on completion, reveals the exact current location of the Light Dragon.

Glider

Now that you have the location of the Light Dragon, it is time for you to land on it perfectly without making any mistakes. Most preferably, reach any of the Skyview Towers nearest to the Dragon and launch yourself into the air. Then, glide your way to the top of the body of it! If you fail to do so, another possible way is to reach the topmost areas of the Hyrule region and use a gliding Zonai device to get close to the Dragon as much as possible and then use the paraglider to land when reached near it.

Pull out the Master Sword using your Stamina Circles

Well, here comes the main part of the mission: pulling out the Master Sword from the Light Dragon’s Head. But before initiating the entire process, you must be ready with two circles full of Stamina which is worth around 20 Shrines. After all the preparation, you must now get to the head of the Dragon, where the Sword is stuck, and then hold A on your device until a cutscene comes into play. Once the cutscene is over, you will get the indestructible Master Sword in your hand!
