EA just held their massive Battlefield 6 multiplayer gameplay reveal. Along with locking in an October 10 release date (the one that already leaked), the Open Beta that was previously teased has now been given a set date. For two weekends starting August 9 – 10, and ending August 14 – 17, all players around the world will be able to play Battlefield 6‘s Open Beta completely for free. However, if you’re feeling particularly excited for the game after that livestream, there is a way to get access even earlier.
An exclusive Twitch Drop is available right now at the time of publication, where all official Battlefield 6 streamers promoting the game on behalf of EA have Drops enabled that will provide an early access beta key to play between August 7 – 8. To get your chance to earn one of these drops, head to the Battlefield 6 category on Twitch, and watch 60 minutes of Battlefield 6 streamer content. You can check your progress after a while by clicking your profile and looking at the ‘Drops & Rewards’ tab.

The opportunity to earn an early access beta key is limited though, with today being the biggest opportunity to find a streamer to earn one for yourself. If you do miss the Twitch Drops then don’t worry, as you’ll still have the two weekends in August to play the game for free on the platform of your choice. After that, there’s only a couple of months to wait, as Battlefield 6 launches on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles and PC on October 10.
Are you looking forward to Battlefield 6, and will you be watching streamers to get early beta access? EA says they’re going “all in” on this release, so it’s sure to be a big one.
