A new trailer has arrived for the upcoming Ratchet and Clank for the Playstation 4, this time the trailer focuses heavily on the games story narrated by everyone’s favorite intergalactic superhero Captain Quark. The first thing I noticed with this trailer is that this really has evolved a lot from the original game, where I was originally inclined to believe that the game would be a remake, it very much feels like a reboot telling a new origin story.
Without spoiling much the trailer does seem to share the classic plot devices of the original game for the Playstation 2 but with many changes made to accommodate the upcoming movie. The story overall sees Ratchet becoming a hero and Quark is not to happy, this of course is pretty bland as far as storytelling goes but the small pieces of gameplay do look exhilarating especially moments that look like throwbacks to the Ratchet and Clank’s two and three.
Overall the trailer has done its job and is getting me even more excited to play this game and you can get excited to by watching the new story trailer below:
