Classic Nintendo Titles Return As Another Code: Recollection Bundle

Classic mystery-adventure point-and-click/visual novel game Another Code: Two Memories (known in North America as Trace Memory) is coming to the Nintendo Switch in a remastered version featuring updated graphics and an enhanced focus on exploration. In addition, the game’s sequel, Another Code R: A Journey Into Lost Memories, will be bundled with it. The two games together will be sold as Another Code: Recollection, which was announced during the September 14 Nintendo Direct livestream event.

Another Code: Two Memories tells the story of Ashley, who journeys to the mysterious Blood Edward Island after receiving a message from the father she can barely remember. On the island, she encounters several puzzles and mysteries and meets a mysterious boy who seems strangely connected to her past and her missing memories. The second game, A Journey Into Lost Memories, takes place two years later and sees Ashley embark on a camping trip to Lake Juliet, where she is yet again drawn into a mystery she must solve. It includes an upgraded photography system and a split between interior and exterior exploration segments.

The original Two Memories (and its Trace Memory version) was released for the Nintendo DS in 2005. It received praise for its mysterious story and use of photographic evidence analysis via a device called DAS that Ashley receives in the game. However, the sequel, A Journey Into Lost Memories, which came out for the Nintendo Wii in 2009, never officially made its way to North America, although a European version was put out. The newly announced Another Code Recollection bundle marks the first time that North American audiences will be able to play Another Code R.

This two-game bundle will be releasing exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on January 19, 2024. Pre-orders are currently available via the Nintendo Switch eShop.
