The Campsite is an important place you will often visit while playing Baldur’s Gate 3. Although the Campsite may seem simple, there are a lot of things you can do in this area. Luckily for you, we have made this guide to explain the camp feature in detail!
Baldur’s Gate 3 Campsite Explained
The Campsite is a place you can use to restore your health and interact with your party members. You can enter this special area by clicking the bonfire icon on the right side of the hot bar. It will bring out three options:
- Short Rest
- Long Rest
- Go to Camp
Short Rest is a feature you can use to quickly regain some of your health without entering the Campsite. You will get two Short Rest charges after every Long Rest, and you don’t need to spend any Camp Supplies.
Long Rest is the upgraded version of Short Rest, where your characters can spend a night on the Campsite. After resting for a night, you will recover your HP, regain Spell Slots, and progress the story.
Unlike Short Rest, you need to spend 40 Camp Supplies to get a full rest. However, if you don’t have any, you can only take a partial rest, which only recovers half of your units’ HP and Spell Slots.
While in the Campsite, you can experience various events related to the side characters and the main plot. When someone wants to speak to you, they will have a speech bubble with a (!) sign.
Another way to trigger story events is by sleeping on your bedroll. There are several instances where people come to your Campsite and say hello. For example, after recruiting Wyll, you may get a visit from the devil Mizora, who will give a mission to the Blade of Frontiers.
If you have too many items in your inventory, you can drop heavy but important objects into the chest on your Campsite. Better yet, you can immediately throw those items to the Camp by right-clicking an object and selecting the ‘Send to Camp’ option.
That is the end of our guide about the Campsite in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you need more help with the game, consider checking out other articles on GameLuster. For example, we have made a guide on how to open the Selune Gilded Chest in the Owl Nest!
