Before freeing Lae’zel, it is best for you to deal with the two Tieflings. The first option is to lie to the two people and order them to run away and leave Lae’zel to you. You will need to pick the deception dialogue and pass a Charisma roll check.
The second way is to enter combat and beat the two Tieflings. If you’re playing as a good guy, you can activate the non-lethal attack passive on your hot bar to prevent your characters from killing innocent people. Do note that this passive only works if you hit the Tieflings using melee attacks or unarmed units.
After the two people are gone, you can free Lae’zel by shooting the cage. I suggest using a bow and an arrow, but if you’re feeling fancy, you can also use a spell. The Githyanki will drop safely to the ground, and you will be given a chance to recruit the woman.
I suggest inviting Lae’zel into your team since her character quest line is very interesting and heavily tied to the main boss. She’s also a good fighter who can tank damage from enemies. I highly recommend recruiting her if you’re playing as magic users or other physically weak classes.
