Battle Royale Hyper Scape Adds High-Speed Turbo Mode

One of the gaming’s newest free-for-all battle royale extravaganzas, Ubisoft’s Hyper Scape initially released on July 12, 2020. The free-to-play game, which is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, is a first-person shooter set in the futuristic city of Neo Arcadia. Within a high-tech digital landscape, groups of players compete in a game known as “Crown Rush,” where the goal is simple – grab the crown – but achieving it is far from easy.

Described as a hybrid between “gaming” and “spectacle,” Hyper Scape features next-level Twitch integration and has become popular among a number of streamers. Players watching the game on Twitch can participate and affect the match by voting on how the game’s AI “host” will alter the playing field.

During Ubisoft’s UbiForward stream, it was announced that Hyper Scape will be receiving an all-new limited time “Turbo Mode” which will debut on September 15. Turbo Mode will feature an even faster-paced and more intense version of the Crown Rush game, with all loot set to maximum level and health regenerating at a faster pace than during a standard match. But watch out – sectors of the map will also be collapsing randomly and quickly as the game progresses, so relying on that extra health won’t be enough to survive!

Turbo Mode will be a squad-based mode, so it’s the perfect chance to grab some friends and visit Neo Arcadia together. The game can be downloaded for free before the event officially begins in a few days.

Do you think your team has what it takes to claim victory in a faster-than-ever battle for the crown? You can find out when Hyper Scape’s newest mode arrives on September 15.

This Ubiforward event comes as Ubisoft is facing allegations of sexual harassment and employee mistreatment, which GameLuster has also covered. You can read more about the recent controversies here and here.
