Platinum Games, developer of The Wonderful 101 and its recently released remastered version, announced the release of a new free demo for the remaster on November 30. The "Wonder-Sized Cadet Demo" features two hours of gameplay, including boss battles which Platinum has promised - via an official Tweet - will feature the fiendish difficulty for which the studio has historically been known.

However, the release of the free demo isn't the most exciting piece of news which Platinum Games has announced in the past few days. Included in the demo is a brand new fighter: none other than Wonder-Bayonetta, a re-imagined version of Platinum's most popular heroine. Wonder-Bayonetta can fire up to four guns at once, creating a huge area of effect attack. Plus, she can use her signature flexibility and Witch Time abilities to dodge the attacks of powerful enemies.

For players who already own the remastered version of Wonderful 101, Platinum released a free code via their official Twitter account. The code can be redeemed via the newly added Wonderful Code feature to add Wonder-Bayonetta to your game, as well as claiming the other exclusive items available in the demo. An additional code can be redeemed to unlock two additional new characters, Wonder-Jeanne and Wonder-Rodin, both also representing the Bayonetta series.

With the Wonderful Code system implemented, it is also possible that Platinum Games will announce additional characters in the future. Fans are especially hoping for the implementation of characters from Platinum's Viewtiful Joe series, another popular franchise from the developer. So far, at least five additional codes are planned to be released in the future.

The remastered version of Wonderful 101 is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. Players can control a team of superheroes led by the heroic Wonder-Red and including Wonder-Blue, Wonder-Pink, Wonder-Green, and many more. Each heroes have their own unique Unite Morph abilities which can be brought into the battle!
