Black Ops Cold War Season Two Content Launches February 25

Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 will launch on February 25, with a dramatic cinematic trailer showcasing what we can expect. Frank Woods and the team are deep in the forests of Laos in Southeast Asia on a mission to rescue Adler, who was captured by Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin in the conclusion to Season 1.

The second season offers us a wave of new operators, including a merciless Nova-6 trafficker in a pair of shades. This same unnamed character, who’ll likely become a playable character in the new season, notifies Stitch that Frank and his band are en route as he watches their helicopter fly overhead, with Adler “secure” and on his way to Verdansk.

Stitch further instructs his man on the ground to ensure our heroes are led to believe they “care about the Nova-6 supply lines”, confirming that Kuzmin has another agenda in play.

As for weapons, there are some absolute beasts, including a deadly mini-gun and a rather lethal-looking crossbow. Frank and his team begin a trek deep into the heart of the Laos forests, fully aware that time is against them to save Adler. With only one week until the new content update drops, expect Treyarch to reveal more information before then.

In the meantime, the developers have shed some light on what Season 1 still has to offer during its final days, courtesy of a blog post on the Call of Duty website. Throwback Moshpit will debut in Multiplayer on February 18, while Snipers Only Moshpit returns on the same day.

A Double XP and Double Battle Pass XP bonus goes live this weekend, while new cosmetic items are being added to the store. The “Retro Renegade” bundle, which lets you add some ’80s style to your guns, arrives in the store on February 18. The bundle further includes new weapon blueprints and legendary items.

The next wave of matchups for Week 2 of the Call of Duty League 2021 season will resume on the same day.
