Call of Duty Adds John McClane & Rambo In Season 3 Update

A limited-time-only ‘80s Action Heroes event launches tonight, (May 19), from 9 PM PT.  New updates roll out today for Black Ops Cold War from 9 PM PT and Warzone on May 19 at 9 PM PT. As the title of the event suggests, both Rambo and John McClane will be arriving from May 20 as playable operators.

The “Rambo” bundle will become available in the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Store from May 19 at 9 PM PT to June 18 at 9 PM PT. The bundle includes, according to a Call of Duty blog post, two finishing moves, three legendary weapon blueprints, a calling card, an emblem, an epic watch, and a charm.

Described as a “hard-bitten cop on the streets of New York”, John McClane, NYPD’s finest, becomes available as part of the “Die Hard” bundle in the Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Store from May 19 at 9 PM PT to June 18 at 9 PM PT.

There are even new points of interest to explore in Warzone, from a CIA Outpost to survival camps in tribute to Rambo: First Blood Part II. Players can even get their hands on a ballistic knife and Rambo’s combat bow, which adds “an explosive punch to any loadout when found in Verdansk or Rebirth Island.”

Last week, Gameluster reported that Bruce Willis’ John McClane from the Die Hard franchise had received a fact sheet via the Call of Duty Twitter account, revealing key facts about the operator, codenamed “COWBOYMCCLANE#0070030.” in action. These facts included his kill count and match victories, all of which coincided with the film franchise.

In other Call of Duty news, there are fears that Call Of Duty 2021, while on course for release later this year, may not be as commercially successful as previous titles before it. According to a prominent industry leaker, Activision are implementing a “recovery road map”.
