The gameplay launch trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II has arrived – and the sequel looks impressive. Bolstering the sequel with some star power is Glenn Morshower, who returns to the franchise to lend his likeness and voice.
Morshower is no stranger to the popular shooter franchise, and the sequel marks his third appearance in the series. The 24, Bloodline, and Ozark actor appeared in the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009, the subsequent remastered campaign two years ago, and Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. He has appeared in other high-profile games such as Battlefield 3 and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
Another voice that some may recognise at the one minute mark of the trailer is Warren Kole, who was linked with a role in Modern Warfare II last year, courtesy of a report from Gfinity. Kole’s voice may be familiar since appearing in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as Rafe.
Then we move on to the story. The sequel to the 2019 reboot shines a light on the war on drugs as the 141 enter the fictional city of Los Almas, otherwise known as the City of Souls, a location riddled with corruption and bloodshed. The visual fidelity is another notable highlight from the trailer. You could be mistaken for believing the footage is directly from a blockbuster movie.
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II will launch across all major platforms, including the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam on October 28.
Players who pre-order the digital version of Modern Warfare II will receive the single-player campaign and other content a week earlier on October 20. For more on all things Call of Duty, stay tuned right here at GameLuster.
