Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III Gameplay In First Trailer

The first exclusive trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III has been revealed, which beckons the start of a “dark new chapter” in the franchise. The single-player campaign continues where the last game left off, including the chilling final scene involving Russian ultranationalists preparing to siege a commercial plane and the chilling ‘No Russian’ text message, which references the controversial Modern Warfare 2 mission.

At another point in the trailer, we see a downed jet, presumably the same hijacked aircraft. The footage teases a mission that involves infiltrating a sea prison under the cover of night, a subway car chase and the chilling image of Price watching missiles launch from silos as the threat of a world war looms.

The threequel is a joint effort from lead developer Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward. Sledgehammer previously worked on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the 2019 reboot of Modern Warfare, WWII, and Advanced Warfare, from 2014. In a Call of Duty blogModern Warfare III will incorporate a campaign of “action-packed operations ranging from signature, cinematic experiences to free-form Open Combat Missions, resulting in more player choice than ever before.”

The open combat missions are described as an “exciting innovation” to the shooter franchise. “Not only do these complement the cinematic missions you’ve come to expect, but they also provide you with numerous additional choices regarding your methods of mission completion,” a statement reads.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will launch on Friday, November 10, 2023 across the PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Series consoles, and PC.
