Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 Has Been Secretly Extended To December 7

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 6 has been extended for another week. The current battle pass will run out on December 7 at 11 p.m. PST. Season 6 was originally due to end on November 23. The new end date comes just two days prior to the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s inaugural Season 1 (December 9 at 11pm PST).

An announcement has not been made, but instead, players have been discovering the season’s extension for themselves. What this also means is that there won’t be, for now, a Season 7 to Warzone, though it was recently reported that new Modern Warfare content was in the pipeline.

For those currently engrossed in Warzone Season 6, operators Nikolai and Farah, two iconic characters from 2019’s soft reboot to Modern Warfare, are now available. Plus, progression is synced up across Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Black Ops Cold War, so leveling up in Modern Warfare will be a bonus when the new Season Pass in Black Ops Cold War arrives.

Season 6 of Warzone introduced a subway system for fast travel throughout Verdansk and a flying bat named Edward. New maps included the remastered version of Broadcast, originally seen in 2007’s Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Outside of the Modern Warfare series, the release of Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been hugely successful for Activision. Day one digital sales for Black Ops Cold War were the highest for the franchise. Anna Malmhake, Activision Blizzard’s EMEA’s managing director said there’d be “an incredible amount of free post launch content, events and support for the entire community as Black Ops Cold War evolves just as we did last year with the release of Modern Warfare.”

Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out now and is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Series X/S, and PC.
