There’s big news for Dead by Daylight fans today, as Behaviour Interactive have announced that the Hellraiser Chapter featuring the legendary Cenobite killer is being removed from the game’s store due to reasons likely related to licensing issues. As stated by the development team on their news page, as a live service game that relies heavily on other existing franchises, there’s “always the possibility that unexpected changes may occur”. The team say they’re “sad” to make the announcement, also suggesting it wasn’t a decision they wanted to make.
If you don’t already own the Hellraiser Chapter, you can get him now in the Last Chance sale that will be held from now until the chapter leaves Dead by Daylight on the morning of April 4. In the Last Chance sale, both the Cenobite character and all of his cosmetics will be 50% off from the in-game store, which also comes with a Lament Configuration charm.
If you do already own the Hellraiser Chapter, or buy it during the Last Chance sale, the content will remain available to you even after the Cenobite takes his leave and is delisted from the Dead by Daylight store. If you don’t get chance to buy him now, only his killer perks will remain in the game under new, non-Hellraiser titles, and be added to the general perk pool for all players to access.
The fog will soon be down a killer, but with the Five Nights at Freddy’s collaboration set to drop later this year, and some huge quality of life changes incoming too, 2025 is set to be a big year for Dead by Daylight.
