Despite Its One Year Anniversary, Bethesda Is Silent On Redfall DLC

When a game has a less than stellar release, it would make sense for developers to try and mend as much as possible to try and keep a game alive. That doesn’t seem to be the case for Redfall, which despite passing its one-year anniversary, has yet to receive any new updates for over six months. To make matters worse, players who bought the $100 Bite Back Edition of the game are still waiting on the game’s additional promised content.

Initially first reported by Kotaku, it would appear as though purchasers of the $100 Bite Back Edition haven’t received any of the additional content for the game they were sold on. Many had hoped that with the game’s anniversary on May 2, there would be news about when or if the game would receive more content, but neither developer Arkane or publisher Bethesda has said a word regarding the game.

Even after a year, Redfall still finds a way to cause controversy.

Oftentimes, even if a game performs poorly, it is generally expected that developers acknowledge the games they release and their anniversary, something Arkane hasn’t done. Over on Reddit, many users noticed this and made comments both mocking the situation and also airing their frustrations with one user, Greaterdivinity, jokingly writing “Happy Redfall 1st anniversary, this is half a s**tpost because it doesn’t seem Bethesda or Arkane or Microsoft have made mention of this milestone anywhere.”

By the looks of things, the future for Redfall looks extremely bleak, with poor reviews, slow updates that turned into no updates and no acknowledgement by either its developer or publisher. It would appear that Redfall will not be the next Cyberpunk 2077 redemption arc and may instead fall into obscurity.
