The next round of Fortnite Twitch Drops are here, and they’re entirely themed around the new Galactic Battle season! Dedicated entirely to Star Wars, Fortnite Galactic Battle is live right now, with a battle pass and item shop full of Star Wars goodies. You can also get some free Star Wars cosmetics in Fortnite right now through Twitch drops, and we’ll show you how. In case you missed it, you can also claim a free Stormtrooper skin too.
Firstly, you need to link your Epic Games account to Twitch, which you may have already done with a past Twitch drop. You can check this yourself by going to the Epic Games accounts connection page, and navigating to the Twitch section. Make sure you’re logged into both the Epic Games account you use to play Fortnite, and linked to the Twitch account you’re logged into for viewing streams. Now, go to the Fortnite Twitch category and watch any channel to start earning your rewards.
After watching for 15 minutes, you’ll unlock a Galactic Duel loading screen, showcasing a lightsaber fight between Samurai Vader and Wookie Team Leader. If you watch for an entire hour, you’ll get the even cooler Anakin’s Model Jedi interceptor Back Bling, a backpack that looks exactly like Anakin Skywalker’s spaceship of choice in Revenge of the Sith. It even has a mini R2-D2 installed on the wing. Watch time is cumulative, meaning you can drop in and out of streams and your minutes viewed still count.
That’s all there is to it! You can start earning your Star Wars cosmetics in Fortnite right now, up until May 5 at 9 AM ET – that’s 2 PM BST or 3 PM CEST for those in the UK and Europe.
