How To Get Climbing Armor Set In “Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom”

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is full of environment-based puzzles, platforming, and similar things that give players multiple ways to tackle certain missions. On that note, accessing most of the areas in the game requires you to traverse through a variety of structures, but a slow climbing speed and a stamina meter restrict that, which is quite infuriating.

This is where the Climbing Armor Set comes into play. Among many, the Climbing Armor Set is one of the returning armor sets from Zelda: Breath of the Wild that players can get and use in the game to get some additional agility while climbing structures.

Unlike the previous entry, there’s a whole new process involved in obtaining the different pieces of Climbing Gear in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. So assuming you are interested in getting the said armor set, keep reading our guide on how to get the Climbing Gear in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How To Get Climbing Armor Set In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The Climbing Armor Set has three pieces, Climbing Gear (Chest Piece)Climbing Boots, and Climber’s Bandanna. All these items are found in different areas in the Hyrule region. So before we talk about how to get each piece, stock up arrows, Bomb Flowers, stamina boosting and healing items, and such things.

Where To Find Climbing Gear

Climbing Gear

Being the first piece of the set, Climbing Gear Armor is pretty easy to find. First, you need to locate and head over to North Hyrule Plain Cave which is precisely at the given coordinates: -1188, 0646, 0072 on the northwestern side of Lookout Landing

Once you enter the cave, at the very beginning, you will see two Like Likes hanging in there. Kill the one on the backside using your weapons and throwables, then use your Ascend ability to get past the platform where the Like Like was hanging.

Water Fall

From there, continue along your pathway until you encounter two small waterfalls. Once found, you must go through the waterfall on top! Use your paraglider to get past it, and soon you will see a locked chest right behind the waterfall. Open it and claim your first Gear of the Climber set, Climbing Gear Armor!

Where To Find Climbing Boots

Moving on to the next piece of Climber’s Gear, Climbing Boots is found inside another cave named Upland Zorana Byroad which is at these coordinates: 2680, 0485, 0199. Finding the Climbing Boots might be a lengthy process compared to finding Climber Gear Armor, so follow everything carefully.

As you make your way inside the cave, make a jump into the water, swim across it, climb onto the surface, and keep walking until you find some Vines blocking your way.

Flooded Room

Use your arrows or swords to cut off those vines, and soon you will end up in an area consisting of two different paths, one on the left and the other on the right. Choose the path on the right side and keep walking until you end up in a flooded room-like area.

Big Gate

Now that you have reached there, your job is to drain out the water! You can do this by raising up the big gate situated right in front. Once done, you will now get access to the sections which were hidden under the excess water. Eventually, explore these sections, and you should definitely find the locked chest containing the Climbing Boots.

Where To Find Climber’s Bandanna

Climbers BandannaThe final set piece, just like the other two, is also located inside a cave named Ploymus Mountain Cave. But the procedure for finding the Climber’s Bandanna includes a lot of climbing through wet and slippery surfaces. We recommend using the Froggy armor or slip-resistant potions to get help climbing up the surface faster than usual.

Water Fall area

Right next to the big waterfall, make your way inside the said cave. From there, get ready to climb up to the topmost portion of the cave, as your reward lies there. Now, since you are wet, it is evident that climbing to the top will not be easy at all.

Climb

What you need to do is, climb a little bit for like few seconds, make a jump, slide down, and then again climb for a few seconds to reach the nearest ledge.

In case some ledges are beyond your reach, you can use your paraglider to get near them and repeat the process as mentioned above. Finally, you will reach your destination, and right next to you will be the locked chest holding the Climber’s Bandanna inside it.
