Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom: How To Find Horse God And Revive Horses

Riding a horse is one of the primary ways to travel in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Sadly, this means that your trusty mount will have to face various dangerous situations you encounter on your journey. Although horses are smart creatures and will run away when necessary, they’re not infallible and can be killed if they get hurt enough.

Luckily, there’s no need to cry, even if you’ve found yourself in this unpleasant scenario. Like in Breath of the Wild, you can still revive your dead horse by visiting the Horse God Malanya, and this guide can tell you where to find this unique Great Fairy!

Horse God Location In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

You can find the Horse God, Malanya, north of the East Akkala Stable near Robbie’s Ancient Tech Lab. You must cross two small lakes until you see a massive flower bud at the end of the bridge.

Unlike other Great Fairies that want to hear beautiful music, Malanya will only ask you to give him one Endura Carrot. If you don’t have any, you can visit one of the Satori Trees (pink cherry blossom trees) that grow throughout Hyrule, and you should be able to locate at least one Endura Carrot near the plant.

After you feed the starving Horse God, the flower bud will open, and he will offer you his services. If you need to revive a dead horse, you can pick the second option and give Malanya a Roasted Endura Carrot. You can get this simple dish by throwing an Endura Carrot into an open fire.

Do note that you can only resurrect mounts you’ve registered at a stable. If you lose a wild horse, it’ll usually respawn at its original spot, and there’s no need to visit Malanya.

How To Enhance Horses In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

Besides reviving dead horses, Malanya also has the ability to enhance your mounts. This service is not free, though, and you will need to bring the Horse God some specific dishes to upgrade a trait. His Meal requests are drawn from the following pool: Carrot Stew, Copious Fried Wild Greens, Cream of Vegetable Soup, Fried Wild Greens, Glazed Veggies, Steamed Tomatoes, Vegetable Risotto, or Veggie Porridge.

Another thing you must know is that you cannot enhance Ganon’s Giant Horse, the Giant White Stallion, or Epona. If you select their icons in the upgrade menu, Malanya will inform you that the horse rejects your offer and is happy with its current power.
