The fourth season of Marvel Rivals is here, as Marvel’s hero shooter gets even bigger and better. Titled ‘Heart of the Dragon’, the new season adds the heavenly angel (and bounty hunter) Angela into the fight, armed with her spear, shield and golden wing to soar. She’s set to shake up the battlefield as she’s a flying vanguard hero that’s capable of taking a lot of hits, unleashing massive damage and then returning to the skies again.
Along with the new hero, there’s an entire new Battle Pass that’s stacked full of cosmetics, including new costumes for Iron Man, Phoenix, Loki and more, some of which relate to the seasonal theme of the “fruit of immortality.” Interesting! There’s a new seasonal event too, with a Wasteland Robot Ultron skin available to earn by completing the Scroll of the Immortal Beasts challenges if you enjoy playing Ultron.
There’s also a bunch of new gameplay improvements, including an Arcade Mode hub that’s stacked with additional game modes, randomized hero costume options, an emoji wheel rework, the ability to slow walk on PC, the option to see or hide custom Ultimate Ability effects from other people’s skins, a squad voice chat and more! This is all just the opening for the season though, as next week brings the second round of the ever-popular Marvel Rivals Swimsuit Special cosmetics, whilst the week after comes with a new map and then October 10 adds new hero Daredevil.
