Mirror’s Edge will have it’s focus on it’s refined first person combat

There is a new Mirror’s Edge game coming up which we have known for quite a while but it has had recent news and details come up about the game. We already know that Mirror’s Edge is set to be played in a first person style for movement but as Dice general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson we will also be seeing first person combat.

Here is what he said:

“What I can say is that if the last game focussed on first-person movement, it was definitely shown in the movie here that the DICE team will be focussing on first-person combat as well, to really nail and refine that.”

Magnus Troedsson additionally mentioned that Mirror’s Edge trailer featured much earlier footage than EA has generally released in the past. While it had some missing textures, DICE felt it was more important to show “the movement or the message of what we’re doing”.

“Fans of the game will just have to wait and see until we talk more about the actual game is and the vital mechanics of it. We’ve shown the combat and movement now, but there’s so much more to talk about. What I can say is, this is not just going to be the same game as the last one. We’re building Faith for anew generation.”

First person combat is a very interesting style for games and can be done well or fail miserably lets just hope that this game works well in its first person combat and makes the game good.
