New Fantasy Life i Update Improves Switch 2 Version And Adds New Crafting Options

There’s a brand new update available now for Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, and regardless of the platform you play on, there’s something to be excited about! From platform-specific improvements on Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam, to new crafting options and quality of life updates, let’s dive into what’s new in Fantasy Life i.

Firstly, the Version 1.4.0 update adjusts the rendering process on Nintendo Switch 2 to improve visuals across the entire game. In improving the rendering, blurriness has been reduced on larger displays and you’ll notice an even clearer image for those who have opted to play the game on Switch 2. Adjustments were also made to vibration intensity when using a Switch 2 Pro Controller, which speaking from personal experience could be a little extreme. If you’re a Steam gamer however, you’ll notice a new keyboard and mouse control list by pressing F10, and you can rebind the Craft Terrain and Excavate Terrain buttons to your liking.

New fashions are available in today’s Fantasy Life i update, including this adorable outfit.

Now let’s get into the new content for all Fantasy Life i players. There are three new high-level Area Challenges, with Level 90 fishing, mining and woodcutting challenges to face in Ginormosia. A new material has been added with Glittering Silk, which can be used to make Glittering Silk Thread and a bunch of fashions in the new Modern Girl, Retro Boy and Sweet cosmetics collections.

If you’re more into the handywork of making furniture, there are 11 new items of furniture to be made, including cute new natural-style decor based off of the Leafe people and a pink Plushling lounge chair. Both the fashions and furniture come with accompanying new recipes to purchase from merchants, which also receive an update to no longer offer already purchased recipes in their randomized inventory.

The Base Camp is now easier to redecorate, as some new structure types can be remodelled.

Let’s wrap things up with the new quality of life updates, of which there are many! Let’s begin with the ones you’ll notice in the menus, like the new feature that allows you to change the equipment of all your buddies from within the equipment menu. Those buddies will also appear in the new recipe selection UI which more clearly showcases how each buddy can influence the item you’re crafting.

When changing Life, you’ll notice that the menus now display the levels of each Life in the one combined screen, along with a new indicator that will show you when the Life is ready to be ranked up. The Base Camp also gets a bunch of improvements, including the options to remodel bridges, stairs and farm type, and the ability to relocate buildings into spaces that overlap with its previous location.

That’s pretty much everything you’ll find in the new Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time update. What are you looking forward to trying out first? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below, and keep your eyes on GameLuster for more breaking gaming news and Fantasy Life coverage!
