New Tales from the Borderlands To Appear At Gamescom Opening Night Live

It was only last week when we heard news of an Amazon listing leak for New Tales from the Borderlands, a follow-up to Telltale Games’ 2014 Tales from the Borderlands. Now we have more news, as Geoff Keighley has confirmed the game will be featured in the Gamescom Opening Night Live show, coming this Tuesday. More details on time, confirmed appearances and leaks can be found here with our main Gamescom 2022 hub page.

Based on the Amazon leak, we can expect to see New Tales from the Borderlands arriving Oct. 21 of this year. The page has since been deleted, but it also provided our first story details for the game. We will be deciding the fates of a new cast of characters, including Anu, an altruistic scientist, Octavio, her streetwise brother and Fran, a fierce third character. The story will be split into five parts much like the classic Telltale experiences, and some old characters will be returning.

The name may not be very creative, but we are looking forward to seeing what Gearbox Software has to offer. Are you looking forward to New Tales from the Borderlands? Did you play the original? Let us know in the comments below, and for more Borderlands news keep your eyes on GameLuster.
