Ninja Gaiden Master Collection Sneaking Onto Switch

For those Nintendo Switch owners who like a challenge, the newest Nintendo Direct showcase had some fantastic news, as remasters of the famously formidable Ninja Gaiden games will be coming to the Switch this year. The new Ninja Gaiden Master Collection features remasters of Ninja Gaiden SigmaNinja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. This trio of games, developed by Team Ninja, were renowned for their challenge when they originally released in the 2000s.

In all three games, players will take control of legendary ninja Ryu Hayabusa, with whom you can wield a number of deadly weapons to quickly take down the lethal enemies you’ll face. These remasters will contain all DLCs, costumes and game modes from the original trilogy of games, meaning there’ll be plenty of ways to tackle these three remasters.

The original trilogy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma games remastered in this new collection are, in fact, remakes of earlier Ninja Gaiden games: the first was a rework of 2005’s Ninja Gaiden Black, while Sigma 2 was an enhanced version of Ninja Gaiden II. The third game, Razor’s Edge, was yet again an enhanced port of an earlier game, although this time the original had only released a few months prior in the form of Ninja Gaiden 3.
