PowerWash Simulator 2 Shows Off New Gameplay Trailer And Cleaning Tools

One of the most relaxing games we’ve ever had our hands on is getting a sequel, as PowerWash Simulator 2 is set for release later this year. Whilst we still don’t have a release date, the team over at FuturLab did just share the first official gameplay trailer, and there’s a surprising amount of new details included in the short sneak peek at what’s sure to be one of our next obsessions.

The biggest highlight of the trailer is the reveal of new ‘multistage levels’, which will see new areas to clean be unlocked as you progress through a level, with the Public Facility stage revealed in the trailer showing a freshly cleaned floor that suddenly opens up to reveal a very dirty yet high-tech public bathroom emerging from the ground ready to be washed. Take a look at the trailer for yourself below.

Even the washing process itself is being upgraded, with a new floor cleaner designed for ground surfaces being introduced, along with both an abseil cleaning unit and a scissor-lift being added to give you new ways to reach those hard-to-reach places and allowing you to scale to greater heights on dirty buildings. We really could’ve used those in the first PowerWash Simulator‘s ferris wheel level!

The trailer ends with a look at the new Home Base system, with furniture being able to be cleaned and then added to your Home Base as decoration. Based on the trailer, it seems you can move, rotate and place the furniture how you like to create your ideal PowerWash HQ. Finally, for something cute, there is a cat named Ulysses and two little kittens who you can pet in your Home Base. What more could we ask for… besides a release date?

PowerWash Simulator 2 launches later this year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. What do you think of today’s latest gameplay trailer? Sound off in the comments below, and keep your eyes on GameLuster for more breaking gaming news and indie game coverage.
