Red Barrels has revealed Outlast 2, developer co-founder says gamers will suffer

Outlast has been an interesting horror experience which came about better then expected, now Outlast 2 has been revealed and developer Red Barrels has released the first teaser.

The sequel to Outlast will feature a new setting as well as characters, however signature features of the previous game will still make a return such as the night vision camera.

Co-founder of Red Barrels, Phillipe Morin had a bit to say about the game touching on moral conflict as well as how Outlast 2 will make its players suffer, obviously this is tune with the horror setting, here is what he had to say:

“No conflict is ever black and white. But once the dust has settled, the victors get to decide who was right and who was wrong. Who is good and who is evil.”

“Human nature pushes us to extremes of violence and depravity, which we then justify by divine inspiration and a promise of paradise to come. Horror rises from desperation and blind faith. Outlast 2 will test your faith, pushing players to a place where going mad is the only sane thing to do.”

“We have even more surprises and I can’t wait to tell you all the ways we’re going to make Outlast 2 gamers suffer.”

Outlast 2 will arrive for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in the third quarter of next year.
