Remember Me 2 is ‘Ready to be Made,’ Says Developer

Ah, Remember Me, I think we will remember this game for a while sadly though it is not in a good way. While Remember Me was certainly aspirational containing a wide variety of interesting ideas, it was one of these games that never quite found its footing. In part this could be argued down to the repetition that recurringly plagued the game however it was also the platforming elements and some other major game ideas that never quite grasped our attention. Its a shame the name in itself is clever and thought provoking and it inspired and aspired to try and do something original and enjoyable something I hope it captures in a sequel which according creative director over at development studio Dontrod Jean-Maxime Moris “the sequel is ready to be made”.

This is something Moris discussed in an interview with Silicorona, according to him the games story is already fleshed out, and the game concepts are apparently prepared however where Dontrod go with the game now all comes down to publisher Capcom.

“We know what we would do for Remember Me 2,” said Dontnod creative director, Jean-Maxime Moris. “The main story has been written we know what we would add to the recipe. We know what we would fix. It’s a game that’s ready to be made, but that decision is Capcom’s to make.”

I do actually hope they get to making a sequel to Remember Me, the franchise deserves to get a second chance to really issue in its memorable name and go down in history as something to truly, well remember.
