Limited Run Games, a company that specializes in producing limited-edition physical versions of both beloved classics and obscure "hidden gems," has made some exciting announcements that have certainly gotten fans on Twitter talking! Several popular titles have been announced for this fall, bringing classic games to modern consoles such as the Nintendo Switch.

Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, the high-speed pod-racing game based on the popular sci-fi film franchise, will be available to pre-order for four weeks beginning on Friday, July 10. It is receiving a physical release for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. An exclusive Collector's Edition will also feature retrospective essays discussing the game, posters and art cards, a stunning steelbook, and even a racer coin. This is expected to sell out quickly, so grab one while supplies last!

Limited Run Games will also be re-releasing the original Shantae game, a GameBoy Color classic, which has become extremely rare and difficult to find. Join cheerful half-genie Shantae as she protects Sequin Land from the nefarious pirate Risky Boots. Shantae will also receive a physical release for the Nintendo Switch.

Explore the dark history of the Belmont family and their struggles against villainous vampires with the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, releasing for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The collection includes no fewer than eight classic titles from throughout the Castlevania franchise.

Other physically releasing games recently announced by Limited Run include the action-platformer Trover Saves the Universe, Japanese role-playing game Ys Origin (which will also receive a collector's edition), 2D action game Mighty Gunvolt Burst, and a box set of the entire Monkey Island point-and-click adventure series, coming later this fall. Additionally, three titles —The Outer Wilds, Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection, and Jay and Silent Bob Mall Brawl — are reaching the end of their pre-order period, so make sure to snag these titles ASAP if you are interested!
