Focus On The Main Story

Don’t Grind For Relics & Planar Ornaments Immediately
Although you may be itching to start grinding for Relics and Planar Ornaments, you should hold back until you reach a higher level. The lower stages of Cavern of Corrosion do not guarantee giving you five-star equipment. I recommend reaching Trailblaze Level 40 before you start farming; before that, you can use any available gear you encounter during your playthrough.
Build Support Units
While DPS characters are amazing and can deal a lot of damage, you shouldn’t forget to build support units. They can boost your DPS’s damage, ensure team survival, and provide other useful buffs. There are several four-star support units that many players may have in their accounts, such as Tingyun, Pela, and Lynx. Tingyun is especially useful because she can boost an ally’s ATK and regenerate Energy.
Complete Daily Training
If you need some Stellar Jades, you should complete Daily Training every day, which offers 60 Stellar Jades. Unlike Genshin Impact, most of the daily missions are very easy to do, and you don’t need to waste a lot of time completing them. Just spend your Trailblaze Power, create some an item via Omni-Synthesizer, and use a Support unit to get your daily reward.
Exploit Enemy’s Weaknesses
Exploiting an enemy’s weaknesses is extremely important during combat. You can see the elements an opponent is vulnerable against underneath their name at the center of the screen. If you attack an enemy using an element they’re weak against, you can inflict a Weakness Break, which delays their Action and deals an Instant Break DMG.
Don’t Forget Echoes Of War
Echoes of War are basically weekly bosses, and unlike other farming stages, you can only challenge them three times every week. The materials you obtain can be used to level up characters’ Traces, and you usually need 12 boss drops to upgrade all abilities fully.
Send Units On Assignments
Another daily activity you need to do is send your units on Assignments. You can have up to four Assignments active at any moment, and you will obtain upgrade materials for free. Don’t worry; you can still use the characters you sent on an Assignment.
Complete Limited-Time Events
Like other live-service games, HSR often holds various limited-time events that you can participate in. Besides giving you Stellar Jades and materials, you may also get special rewards, such as Speech Bubbles and Icons.
Take Your Time
HSR is meant to be played over a long time, so there is no need for you to hurry and reach the end game. I’m already there, and I can safely say there’s nothing amazing and that I spend most of my time building my units and grinding for better gear. Enjoy your journey and immerse yourself in the story. Don’t Follow Meta
There will always be a better unit that will break the game. It’s a never-ending chase where the goalpost is always moving away from you. My best suggestion is to pull for characters you are interested in and take your time to build them well. You can easily beat the main story using four-star units, and the only thing that you may struggle with is high-level optional stages that only give you meager rewards.
