Uncharted: The Lost Legacy has been officially announced

Sony and Naughty Dog have officially revealed the next installment in the Uncharted franchise, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy which is a standalone Uncharted adventure.

Shown off Playstation Experience with a gameplay demonstration, the adventure followed a masked stranger as she made her way through a war torn city. The primary gameplay seemed to focus mostly on stealth and also introduced us to a new lockpicking mechanic which looks like it could add a new amount of urgency to certain moments.

The demonstration ended with the masked stranger teaming up with Nadine Ross to take down three soldiers and then revealing our hidden character to be franchise favorite Chloe Frazer. Chloe is a well loved character from Uncharted 2 and 3.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy sends Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross deep into the mountains of India in search of a fabled Indian artifact. Racing against time to keep the artifact out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer, Chloe and Nadine must work together to prevent the region from falling into chaos. Those looking to play this game but don’t own a copy of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will not have to worry, being Standalone a copy of the game is not required.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will arrive in 2017, for now you check out the demonstration for yourself below:
