There is nothing more easily recognizable than the Dragon Ball franchise. This media series has seen numerous successes, from manga to anime to even video games. Fans will be glad to know they are in for a treat as Dragon Ball FighterZ is finally launching on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, six years after the game first released in 2018.

As mentioned earlier, there have been numerous video game adaptations of the Dragon Ball franchise, with many of them being fighting games sporting the franchise’s name such as Dragon Ball Z: Budokai and more famously, Dragon Ball FighterZ, which has garnered a large fan base from both Dragon Ball and fighting game fans. The game was first released back in 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Fans will be glad to know that soon, they will be able to play the game on more modern consoles as the game will be launching digitally on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at midnight local time.
However, this isn’t the only good news as if you have previously purchased Dragon Ball FighterZ on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you will be eligible to get a free upgrade if you own either a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S respectively. Considering how well received the game has been by fans, it’s always nice to see a title become available on other platforms and now fans will be able to experience Dragon Ball FighterZ on the current generation.
