Observer: System Redux Next-Gen Graphics Trailer Released

Bloober Team, the developers of Observer: System Redux, have released a short comparison trailer for the graphics of their forthcoming next-gen version of Redux. The studio demonstrates the key differences between the graphics from the PS4/Xbox One edition and the enhanced version for next-gen consoles. Lighting artist Tomasz Bentkowski narrates the graphics trailer.” We’ve been able to create more immersive worlds with the new generation of consoles,” he explains.

“Thanks to this, we effectively combine an atmosphere of psychological horror and dark cyberpunk future. Skillful use of lighting made possible with next-gen technology in combination with newly available 4K textures, special effects like snow, fog, and rain, have allowed us to create a world that is even more dystopian and truly cyberpunk.”

Back in April, a trailer for the next-gen remaster of Observer: System Redux was released. According to the trailer, the remaster is due for ‘Holiday 2020’. The original Observer was released in August 2017 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Set in the year 2084, in a rather bleak and dystopian Kraków, Poland, the story follows late Blade Runner actor Rutger Hauer, who sadly passed away last year. He stars in the role of Daniel Lazarski, a detective investigating a mystery in an apartment block.

In other Bloober-related news, the studio unveiled a Dual Reality Trailer for The Medium during the Xbox Games Showcase in July. The new trailer focuses on a crucial detail of the next-gen horror game, and it’s dual-reality gameplay. A patent for simultaneous playing in single-player video games”, was granted to Bloober Team in 2019, after an application was filed by the studio back in 2016. The Medium is due for release Holiday 2020 on PC and Xbox Series and is available for pre-order now.
