After the previous Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Network Beta Test had a limited release back in February, SEGA just announced that a full Open Network Test to all players worldwide will take place at the end of this month! From August 29 to September 2, you can join the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Open Network Test on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
You do not need to have pre-ordered the game to join the Open Network Test, nor do you need to have signed up for access like in the prior Network Beta Test, you just download the test version on your gaming platform of choice and start playing when the Open Network Test goes live. Specifically, the Open Network Test begins at 7AM PDT, 10AM EDT, 3PM BST or 4PM CEST on August 29, and ends at the same time on September 2.
Participating in the Open Network Test will give you Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds rewards once the full game launches. You’ll get two Sonic the Hedgehog decals, along with an Open Network Test Racer player title just for playing the test version. Players enjoying the Open Network Test will also be able to try out Joker from Persona 5 as one of the many crossover characters appearing in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, with an entire limited-time team-based Joker Festival mode to take place starting August 31.
