April’s Xbox Live Games with Gold once again features two Xbox One games and two Xbox 360 games, which are also backward compatible.

The games this month include:

Xbox One

  • The Witness
  • Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Xbox 360

  • Cars 2: The Video Game
  • Dead Space 2

The Witness will be the first free Game with Gold in April, available from April 1-30. Designed by Braid creator Jonathan Blow, The Witness is a 3D open-world puzzle game that was nominated for multiple awards in 2016 and received very favorable ratings.

Cars 2 for the Xbox 360 is also backwards compatible and will be available from April 1-15. Based on Cars 2 the movie, the game received generally favorable ratings.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be available for download from April 16 through May 15 on the Xbox One. Released in 2015, the game takes the Assassin’s Creed formula to Victorian London, and it received better than average reviews overall. It was the last Assassin’s Creed game to be made before Assassin’s Creed Origins.

The last game available is Dead Space 2, downloadable from April 16 to April 30. It is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Dead Space and continues Isaac Clarke’s story, this time in a Necromorph-filled space station. The game was also praised across the board.

Xbox Live Gold users can still get Superhot from March’s Games with Gold until April 15.
