Black Ops Cold War’s Firebase Z Map Has Been Leaked

The first images and gameplay from Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s Firebase Z Zombies map have leaked online, courtesy of Imgur. Beginning with the gameplay clip, and while it only lasts three seconds, a player enters what looks like a bunker of some kind, or a ‘data center’, seen in the top left corner of the screen.

As for the two screenshots, one shows a Perk machine, which provides Zombies players with extra abilities and stat boosts when activated. Called Tombstone, this particular perk machine looks new to Black Ops Cold War, as one has yet to appear. The second image is a snapshot of a firefight against a zombie.

On January 14, Treyarch announced that the Dark Aether story would continue in Black Ops Cold War’s first season from February 4, and would be free to all players on all platforms. This new map is only the second following Die Maschine (first seen in World At War), which was launched with Black Ops Cold War in November 2020. The storyline was first set up in the base game’s Die Maschine map.

According to Treyarch, the action picks up following the fall of “Projekt Endstation” in Poland, “Requiem now sets its focus on the latest Dark Aether outbreak site: Outpost 25, known by the code name “Firebase Z.”

Earlier in the month, Raven Software unveiled two consecutive nerf patches in a week for a variety of overpowered weaponry, most notably, the DMR 14, with the battle-royale deemed “unplayable.”

The first initial patch from Raven received a negative reception from the Call Of Duty community. Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out now and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
