While no official announcement has been made, it seems that a new addition to the fan favorite Diablo series will be coming at some point.
The news comes from a job posting Blizzard made for a dungeon artist. While this does not necessarily mean the new game will don the title of Diablo IV, the posting does state that the new game is an “unannounced Diablo project,” so players will for sure be getting another taste of the dark, demon-filled worlds that Diablo games bring.
The posting goes on to state that the ideal candidate will be “passionate about working on the dark gothic world of Diablo, making great games, killing millions of monsters and getting loot.” Seeing this, it is more than likely the new game will have the same satisfying formula that has pleased Diablo fans for years.
As the last game in the series, Diablo III, was released in 2012 and its predecessor was released 12 years prior in 2000, a new game in the series would be very welcome.
