Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3 launches today. This new season brings new updates to both Modern Warfare and the Battle Royale Mode Warzone. The new update also sees the return of a familiar face from 2019's Modern Warfare reboot, Alex, who is unlocked as soon as the Battle Pass is purchased.
For those of you already hooked on Modern Warfare and Warzone, there's more to look forward to with Season Three. Quads have become available for both Warzone and Plunder. The new game mode allows you to create a team of up to four players. However, if any number of your team falls on the battlefield, the challenge of survival becomes that little bit harder.
So, with that in mind, teamwork is crucial. An expanded fire team within Plunder will help you collect Cash faster, and in turn, help players complete contracts, as well as take out opposing squads.
New modes and playlists are coming with Season Three. They will change the loot pool to particular weapon types, as well as high action modes including Scopes and Scatter Guns (sniper rifles & shotguns only), and more.
Ground loot is also set for a continuous overhaul, which helps diversify strategies a player can take within the world of Warzone. Every weapon will come with its own silenced or non-silenced option. This means squads can prepare themselves for silent operations, or if they want to, go in loud and fast.
New weapons and blueprints will be available in Supply Boxes, as well as ground loot to Verdansk. Meta updates are expected as the season goes on. There are also new 6v6 maps, with the Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill, and Aniyah Incursion, (an adaptation on Aniyah Palace). Further additional content includes new multiplayer playlists, Demolition, Gun Game Reloaded, plus Gunfight variants and more.
A new set of missions are accessible from the Barracks too, along with XP Rewards, blueprints, and vehicle and operators skins. Elsewhere, there are two new free weapons up for grabs at Tiers 15 and 31, the Renetti handgun and SKS marksman rifle. Various weapon blueprints can be picked up too, from the ‘Cerastes’ handgun, the 'Beefeater' assault rifle, and the 'Witching Hour', a sniper. The Renetti and SKS can be modified to your own playstyle.
To summarize everything else on offer, there are new vehicle skins, new Operator threads at Tiers 10, 30 and 50. Lastly, there's a new finishing move from popular pup Riley at Tier 20, more XP to be gained from Season Three trials and new operators.
