Wii U owners have missed out on the gaming phenomenon that is Minecraft and now that Microsoft owns Mojang and by extension Minecraft it seems impossible that a Wii U release will ever happen. However that does not mean that no Minecraft-like games will happen on the console, in fact many indie developers have been filling the void with last week seeing the arrival of Stone Shire, the Wii U exclusive UCraft coming in the future, but that is not all. This week a new Minecraft wannabee game is set to arrive on the North American Wii U eShop in the form of Cube Life: Island Survival. Hopefully this game will be better then Stone Shire apparently was, and for those who live in North America and want to check the game out it will be available for $6.99 next week.
About Simon Smith
Hi, I am Simon Smith, I am an avid video game fan and love to talk about and discuss games, which is what brought me here. I have been writing about games since 2012, mostly I enjoy spending my time writing about the Nintendo Switch but I also enjoy the 3DS as well as the Playstation 4. These days I cover most things from news, to reviews (I always have something in the works) to random pointless opinion pieces.read more
