In Dave the Diver, there are a myriad of activities to do. These include exploring hidden locations, finding specific items to meet the needs of the Sea People, and much more. While progressing through the main story, you will also encounter some massive sea creature bosses that must be defeated to complete your Marinca card collection. However, a good strategy is what it takes to defeat your opponent without fail. This Dave the Diver guide will specifically discuss how you can defeat the Truck Hermit Crab, one of the game’s trickiest bosses.
How To Defeat The Hermit Crab In Dave The Diver
Vortex bosses such as the Truck Hermit Crab are available after viewing the Duff’s Dream cutscene. To begin the quest, Sato will tell you about a Vortex inside the Blue Hole where a giant creature lurks. He will also tell you that the creature will drop a super rare Marinca boss card once defeated, but the Vortex only shows up on stormy nights.
You can find the Vortex in the shallow section of the Blue Hole, with a depth of 10-20 meters. It is usually found towards the right side of the Blue Hole. Once you find the vortex, click OK to get inside it. Prepare yourself as you will encounter the Truck Hermit Crab immediately.
One the fight starts, you will first see some basic attack moves from the Hermit Crab. Most of the time, it will try to attack you with its Pincers and keep throwing some objects to inflict damage against you. Unfortunately, you cannot use your weapons during the fight, as the enemy is invulnerable to them. Simply dodge the attacks while waiting for the right moment.
When the Hermit Crab strikes its Pincers onto the ground, some Barrels will appear instantly in front of you. These Barrels contain explosives that can cause harm to the massive creature. What you need to do here is pick up a Barrel, swim over to the Crab, and drop it on top of its truck shell to deal damage against the monster. (Be careful, though, as falling debris can cause the Barrel to explode early.) Keep repeating this process around 3-5 times, and you will win the battle in no time.
