Deep Silver removes Dead Island 2 developer from project

Dead Island 2 is not on a very good run, the game was originally set to be released this year, but was announced earlier this year to be getting delayed to 2016. Now even more problems are plaguing the game as the lead development team has now been removed from the game.

Development studio Yager, who previously handled Spec Ops: The Line has been removed from creation of Dead Island 2. The decision for the developer removal was made by publisher Deep Silver, who in a comment to IGN have stated they want to bring the version of Dead Island 2 that fans deserve, obviously saying that Yager was unable to deliver the experience that Deep Silver wanted.

Here is what Deep Silver had to say:’

“With Dead Island 2, Deep Silver has always been dedicated to delivering the sequel that Dead Island fans deserve. After careful consideration, today we announce the decision to part ways with development partner Yager. We will continue working towards bringing our vision of Dead Island 2 to life, and we will share further information at a later stage.”

Hopefully, this will not push back the release of Dead Island 2 any further, and will provide a decent Dead Island game.
