Defiance is now free to play on Xbox 360

This massively-multiplayer shooter is now available to play for free on the Xbox 360.

The game originally launched in April 2013 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and went free to play on PC in June this year, becoming free on PlayStation 3 shortly afterwards.

Trion has announced in a new blog post that people who paid for the game have been given extra character slots and load outs, currency capacity and inventory size.

However, although the game is initially free, the campaign only is included and the option to buy extra content has been given in the form of £7.99 packs or a £26.99 season pass.

There has been no news on next gen versions of the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
