Unlocking A Mount In Diablo IV

 Donan's Favor

You cannot unlock Mounts early on in the game, but need to progress a bit further. More specifically, you must progress the story until Act 4, which of course means you must first complete Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3. Once you do that, you will be able to start the quest Donan’s Favor, which you will need to complete to unlock Mounts.

To complete the Donan’s Favor quest, you simply need to visit the nearest Stable master in Kyovashad and have a short conversation with him. With this, you will be able to acquire your first Mount in the game! Plus, if you have the deluxe version of the game, you can customize your Mount with pre-gifted outfits.

Summoning a Mount in Diablo IV is fairly straightforward. You just need to click on the right button of the D-pad to bring one into existence. Once you dismiss your Mount, it will take 10 seconds of cooldown time before you can call them again.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to summon your Mounts inside any Dungeon, which means these magical creatures are of no benefit while fighting any bosses or enemies inside those spaces. However, apart from this, you can use them to escape hordes of enemies that roam around in the open world.
