How to Make Boba Tea

Boba tea is a tasty drink that usually consists of milk, tea, flavoring, and, of course, boba – the distinctive balls of tapioca that give the drink its name and appearance. However, tapioca has not yet been added as a crop in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so in this game, you can make boba tea without needing to add it! In fact, the recipe for Boba Tea is extremely simple, and consists of:

  • 1 Milk
  • 1 Sugarcane

Milk can be purchased at Chez Remy, Remy’s restaurant, once you have unlocked the Ratatouille realm and convinced the little chef to move to your Valley. One carton of Milk costs 230 Star Coins. Sugarcane can be harvested from Sugarcane Seeds, which are sold at Goofy’s Stall in the Dazzle Beach biome. Sometimes, Goofy will also have pre-harvested Sugarcane available to purchase at his stall in Dazzle Beach, but his stock varies every day and this is not guaranteed.

Combining these two ingredients will make plain Boba Tea, but you can also add a variety of ingredients found throughout the Valley to create different flavors of Boba Tea. Remember that, to cook any recipe, you will need at least one Coal in your inventory and one spare inventory space. Otherwise, you will be prompted to drop something from your inventory before you can complete the cooking.

Currently, there are four flavors of Boba Tea available to make in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These are Raspberry Boba Tea, Mint Boba Tea, Coconut Boba Tea, and Gooseberry Boba Tea.

Raspberry Boba Tea requires:

  • 1 Milk
  • 1 Sugarcane
  • 1 Raspberry

Raspberries can be harvested from bushes in either the Plaza or Peaceful Meadow biome. Goofy may also sometimes sell raspberries at his stall in the Peaceful Meadow. Make sure to cook five of these to give them as holiday gifts to villagers as part of the Festive Star Path!

Mint Boba Tea requires:

  • 1 Milk
  • 1 Sugarcane
  • 1 Mint

Mint is a forage crop that can be harvested in the Frosted Heights biome. Mint plants can be identified by the green stems sticking out of the frozen ground.

Coconut Boba Tea requires:

  • 1 Milk
  • 1 Sugarcane
  • 1 Coconut

Coconuts can be harvested from trees in the Dazzle Beach biome. However, keep in mind that coconuts cannot grow on Dazzle Beach until Maui has moved to the Valley and players have completed his friendship quest “Burying the Eel,” in which players re-create one of Maui’s most famous heroic deeds by catching an eel and burying its guts in the ground. Don’t forget to make ten of these as part of the Festive Star Path!

Gooseberry Boba Tea requires:

  • 1 Milk
  • 1 Sugarcane
  • 1 Gooseberry

Gooseberries can be harvested from bushes in the Forgotten Lands and Frosted Heights biomes. Goofy may occasionally sell Gooseberries at his stalls in either of these biomes.

Currently, these are the only flavors of Boba Tea that can be made in Disney Dreamlight Valley. However, as the game contains a variety of fruits, spices, and other flavorings, including Blueberries, Apples, Bananas, and Cacao Beans, it is possible that more flavors of Boba Tea will be added in future updates.
