Once you have reached Level 4 friendship with Wreck-it Ralph’s Vanellope von Schweetz, the excitable racer wants to learn more about what people in Dreamlight Valley do for fun. This quest involves playing a variety of games with Vanellope to help make Valley life much more interesting for its newest resident. GameLuster’s helpful guide will walk you through every step of the “Ready Player Fun” Vanellope friendship quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Show Vanellope Some Valley Fun
After talking to Vanellope and starting the “Ready Player Fun” quest, choose to Hang Out with her. Then, while hanging out with Vanellope, perform the following tasks around Dreamlight Valley:
- Plant 30 crops
- Harvest 30 fruits or crops
- Catch 5 fish
- Mine 3 gemstones
Keep in mind that for the last task, you have to receive gemstones – simply mining ores or crystals will not count. The best option for completing this step is probably the Vitalys Mines, as it has a large number of mining nodes close to one another. Plus, if you want to harvest your crops immediately after planting them to complete this quest more quickly, you can apply a Miracle Growth Elixir or Even More Miraculous Growth Elixir to your Royal Watering Can.
Play Hide & Seek And Race Vanellope
Unfortunately, Vanellope is not satisfied, as she finds the Valley’s idea of fun to be boring. Instead, she decides to make up her own games, starting with a classic round of Hide and Seek. Head inside Scrooge McDuck’s Store to count while Vanellope hides.
After leaving the store, there are several villagers you can talk to to get hints about where Vanellope is hiding. They are Nala, Mickey Mouse, and Mirabel. However, talking to these characters is optional, and you can instead choose to head directly to her hiding place: the Vitalys Mines.
Inside the Mines is a trail of candy leading to Vanellope’s hiding place. You should pick up these candies, as they are food items that you can eat to restore energy as needed! Vanellope is hiding behind a mine cart about halfway through the Mines. Talk to her to begin the next step of the quest – but get ready, because it will start immediately!
Next, Vanellope will challenge you to beat her in a race out of the mines. She will start out moving much faster than you, but will pause to look around at the roundabout near the entrance. Use this as an opportunity to get ahead of her and head out of the mine entrance before she can do so.
EXTREME Fishing
The last game that Vanellope wants to play with you is EXTREME Fishing, a game she has just made up. To complete EXTREME Fishing, you will need to catch three fish within three minutes. This is not hard to accomplish, but it is highly recommended that you stay in your current location (the Sunlit Plateau) and catch fish in the nearby river. Trying to move to another part of the Valley may cause you to run out of time and have to start the quest again.
Once you have caught all three fish, talk to Vanellope one last time to complete the “Ready Player Fun” quest. Finally, the racer has decided that life in Dreamlight Valley is pretty fun after all! She tells you that she’s going to take some time to think up more fun activities, which means you’ll have to raise her friendship level a bit more to find out what they are.
