Ellie Armour Kits Found Within The Last Of Us 2 Game Files

A content creator has discovered three multiplayer armour kits for Ellie within the game files of The Last Of Us Part II. It’s likely the armour models were designed at some point during the development of Part II’s multiplayer mode. Due to the scale of Naughty Dog’s sequel, plans to complete the multiplayer mode were later scrapped. As a small video from content creator Speclizer demonstrates, there are three respective armour kits that Ellie can wear.

The first, named Level 1, is a blue armour kit with the word police emblazoned across the front and back, the second is black with a visor on the helmet, and the third is military camouflage. The content creator explains that the armour models were likely serving as placeholders during the development stage of the game. They further point out that the armour kits could in theory be used when a multiplayer mode is released. Speclizer’s track record also includes being responsible for discovering a hidden map within The Last Of Us Part II

The map is pretty big and covers key locations lifted from Part II, including a Gas Station, a motel, and the port from Abby’s third day. The leading theory, according to Speclizer, is that Naughty Dog intended to combine the various locations into one big map for a battle royale mode.

Last November, Naughty Dog provided an update on the long-awaited Factions mode for Part II. In a statement, they said. “For now, we’ll say that we love what the team is developing and want to give them time to build out their ambitious project, we’ll reveal more when it’s ready!”

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that HBO’s adaptation of The Last Of Us would air no earlier than sometime in 2023. “I imagine you will see it in ’23,” Casey Bloys, HBO’s Chief Content Officer confirmed.
