Amiibo support for Splatoon was one of the most exciting announcements to come out of the most recent Nintendo Direct, previously while many of us have chased Amiibo figures for our own reasons Nintendo has yet to provide us many interesting uses for buying these figures. Sure Super Smash Brothers for Wii U and 3DS has proven to provide some fun use for the figures but we still need something more exciting, so what about the Splatoon Amiibo’s what can they offer us?
It has been confirmed that while the Splatoon Amiibo’s may not have much use they will still provide some useful additions to the core game. Previously we have known that the Amiibo figures would be providing us with rare gear exclusive to the specific figures but thanks to an interview with EDGE we know more. Each of the three figures for the game will feature fifteen single player missions to play through which are described as challenges, meanwhile they will also provide five pieces of rare gear to be unlocked.
The Splatoon Amiibo’s should be great to have and make use of I just feel the game is going to need to be good to warrant the Amiibo usage and make them truly exciting.
