In our darkest hours, when we can’t believe in ourselves, some of us may search for something to believe in. When a handful of lost souls met Issac and Rebecca Walker, two evangelists, they were drawn in by their promises of a socialist utopia in South America. Your nephew, Alex, was one of those people. Two years have passed since he’s taken off, and now you’re on a mission to find him and bring him back to the United States.

To accomplish this, you’ll need to be stealthy and avoid the watchful eyes of the armed guards. Raid the residents’ cabins to recover information on your nephew’s whereabouts, or gather supplies– weapons, painkillers, and metal shards will all be useful to you in your quest. Will you and Alex be able to make it out alive? Or will you face the wrath of the Walkers and succumb to your brutal fate?

The Church in the Darkness is a top down stealth adventure game in which each successful completion of a route impacts future playthroughs. The game features nineteen different endings. You can grab The Church in the Darkness on Steam. It is also available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.

Indie Power Hour is a show which focuses on new and upcoming indie games. In each episode, GameLuster writer Chloe Spencer will discuss the basic facts and elements of the game, as well as demonstrate one hour of gameplay. The goal is not to play a game to completion, but rather highlight interesting projects viewers might not have known much about.
