Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom: All Dragon Locations

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, dragons were known for their attractive looks, enormous size, and the rewards they provided on getting hit with an arrow. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has done a great job by adding them back into the open world of Hyrule. Sadly, the most mind-bending task is locating these dragons since there are no specifications of where they can be found. With that in mind, this handy guide details precise locations for every dragon available in Tears of the Kingdom.

All Dragon Locations In Tears Of The Kingdom

In total, you can find four mythical dragons around the Hyrule region, each with their own elemental powers. The list below will let you know the most precise locations of these Dragons:

Fire Dragon Dinraal

dinraal

The Fire Dragon, Dinraal, starts its journey from the Akkala Highlands area and stops when it reaches the Death Mountain region. Use any of the nearby Skyview Towers to elevate yourself into the air and then make your way towards the dragon. But, before you do this, remember to equip yourself with fire-resistant armor, as the scorching heat of the Fire Dragon can drain a lot of your health quickly.

Frost Dragon Naydra

Naydra

The Frost Dragon, Naydra, spawns in the Mount Lanaryu region and roams around until she reaches the Karakiko Village area. Similar to the Fire Dragon, Naydra will attack you with her frost abilities, so make sure to carry some consumable items which can help you survive the bitter coldness as soon as you venture near this dragon. More preferably, you can gear yourself with cold-resistant armor such as the Snowquill Armor Set.

Lightning Dragon Farosh

Farosh

On the southwestern side of the map, the Lightning Dragon Farosh can be found wandering around Lake Hylia and the Gerudo Desert. Since this Dragon is fully loaded with lightning energy, its attacks can cause a massive health loss, and you will die in no time. Equip yourself with shock-resistant armor and consumable items to avoid or tolerate those menacing attacks.

The Light Dragon

Master SwordIntroduced for the first time in Tears of the Kingdom, the Light Dragon does not have any specific location, as it roams around every corner in the Hyrule region. The best way to find this Dragon is by triggering a side quest named Recovery of Hero’s Sword. In this side quest, you must reach the Lost Woods and kill Phantom Ganon to access a conversation with Deku Tree. After the short discussion with the tree, you will get a compass-type mark on your map which reveals the location of the Light Dragon.

The Light Dragon holds the mighty Master Sword on its head. And we already know how great of a weapon it is when it comes to killing strong enemies! If you want to unlock this weapon, check out GameLuster’s Master Sword guide, which details everything you need to know regarding its unlocking process.

Every Reward Link Can Get From The Dragons

There are five types of rewards that a Dragon yields once you hit a specific portion of its body with an arrow or melee attack. Below is the list of the rewards you can get from the said Dragons:

  • Reward 1: Dragon Horn (Attack the top of the dragon’s head)
  • Reward 2: Dragon Scales (Attack the dragon’s body)
  • Reward 3: Dragon Fang (Attack the dragon’s mouth)
  • Reward 4: Dragon Claw (Attack the dragon’s feet and claws)
  • Reward 5: Shards of Dragon Spikes (Attack the spikes on the dragon’s back)

These materials have a variety of uses. You can fuse them with weapons, use them to upgrade armor sets, and even cook with them!
