Microsoft’s latest controller for the Xbox One has been an overwhelming success, the Elite controller has proven so popular that Microsoft has struggled to keep up with demand for the control. I am sure many were looking forward to grabbing a new controller for their Xbox One this holiday season but unfortunately due to shortages they were unable and sadly they won’t be able to get the controller until early next year, well at least possibly.
Tech Insider has confirmed the disappointing news with Microsoft that the Elite controller will be in short supply for some time, they shared the following statement:
“While the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller is sold out in many retailers around the world, we are working quickly to get more units in the hands of fans. We expect more units to arrive at retailers each week but supply may be limited through March 2016.”
Unfortunately most retailers were unable to get hold of many of the new controller and in the case of most major video game retailers they are requesting that you put in a preorder for the controller when it eventually resurfaces.
